Nerf This

Just thought I’d bring these guys back for a quickie. I’ll also be working on a project shortly, which I can’t wait to talk about (when I’m allowed to talk about it). Either way, next comic will be up tonight!
Also… I don’t like seagulls. They’ll seriously rob you blind if you turn your back just for a moment, and they’re never graceful about it.
Well, this marks the 1st appearance of Taryn’s mother, Destiny. Don’t be fooled by the banter of these two, they do love each other very much, and I think when I created these two, they really reminded me of these guys… for good reason 😉 (kudos if you recognize the characters in the link!)
Anyways, hope you like the may Destiny Mills looks, love the way she came out so far. Anyways, daily updates resume Monday, see ya then 🙂
To make this apparent, we haven’t seen Destiny in action, but I assure you she’s just as competent as Mr. Mills in asskickery.
Not sure if guy notice in today’s strip, but I’m trying to cut back some steps I take in coloring. I’ve come to realize I spend more time than I like with these strips. Well, that’s a lie, I’d like to spend twice as much time in a strip, but I need to manage time a lot better. I hope in the long run I can give you guys more, a better comic, better art, and a better experience 🙂
Hey guys, glad to be back, but I do need to address this wonky schedule I’ve been on…
To make it clear, Nerf This doesn’t have an update schedule, when I first started Nerf This I wanted it to be a MWF update schedule, but after a while I just… started updating every weekday. I never put on my site anywhere that this comic would update daily. I upheld this schedule for nearly two years without many hiccups, unfortunately the past few months have been unforgivably busy, and I’m sorry that it is affecting this comic, I’m truly sorry. It makes me really happy that I can provide something that you can read for free on Nerf This, it really does. As Nerf and my other projects grow, I realize I can’t keep up with it, hell, I’m even looking to hire an assistant. I’m letting Denis from LAWLS and Rush Haven handle my store items so things get out in a timely manner.
By any means, I’m not complaining, I love my life and what I do, if I have to choose what I wanted to be when I was little, the choices were drawing comics, and being a poacher hunter (Pennsylvania doesn’t have a high demand for poachers apparently). Please don’t take Nerf updating infrequently as a sign that I’m, “throwing in the towel”, “giving up”, “not caring” or any of that, I do care, and I’m stressed as hell to find a solid answer to make it work. I should have posted what was going on sooner, and I’m very sorry I haven’t. So, to make this huge summary much more to the point, I want to say, please just hang in there a little bit longer, I promise things will be back to normality very soon. I love drawing comics, and I love drawing comics for you guys. Hell, I’m lucky that people even read my comics.

He later put out the fire using the blood of his enemies… no permanent scarring. To also clarify, I’ve never said Mr. Mills 1st name in the comic (for good reason). His friends simply know him as “Mills”.

Hey guys, I’m trying some new approaches to hopefully get better at shading and lighting, hope it’s a step in the right direction.
Oh, and to kind of touch base on the last strip, I meant that Mrs. Mills was hunting the “entity” of blood diamonds, as in fighting the villains behind it, some quite didn’t get that. Sorry about the mix up.
