Library Thingies
This wasn’t one of my finer moments.
Here is another journal comic since everyone seems to like them so far, I hope you enjoy it. I am also the proud father of an intuos4 tablet, I’ve named him Drawey.

O.O
Library thingies indeed.
This goes to show how often I’ve been in a library, I haven’t seen those in years.
They still use them apparently… EVERYWHERE. That hall had more than 50 sitting there.
that was probably a stoolek invasion
:O were they bouncy? the ones in my library are bouncy… i loves them so much and i’m a short (4’11”) gal so i need them a lot and when i reach i go
>_>

My tablet doesn’t have a name! D: Perhaps I should let you name it for me, since you seem to have a knack for it.
And, wtf ARE those Library thingies? Are they for training circus seals? Are they step stools? Perhaps something else!
You could name it Sketchy (because it could have a glorious double meaning… in case it’s shady).
But if you need a safety fall back name, you can never go wrong with “T-Rex”… I name everything t-rex. 😉
It does have a habit of going out late at night without telling me. It thinks I’m asleep. But I’m NOT!
that scandalous hussy… my tablet better not pick up any of these habits of vagrancy 😉
…you actually did this.
Wouldn’t You? O_O
We can find some at SPX this wekend.
Joe, do you even have to ask? It was real, and it was spectacular.
My elementary school had a bunch of those. In hind-sight, it just seems like a bad idea to have multiple rolling step-stools in a room full of restless children.
I suppose they’re all the rage (and have been since the 1930’s)
I would probably do the same thing.
and that is why you are awesome, miss 🙂
Lol, probably wouldn’t have stopped to think if it was a good idea or not. Unless I was drunk. That’s when I can tell good ideas from bad. Slows my brain down, you know?
heh, I was a library aide in high school. we had two types, those, and ones that were more ladder-y, with locking wheels. we used the laddery ones for Inter-Isle Jousting tournaments. those sticks that they put the newspapers on, were our Lances.
It was hard to explain the bruises on my ribs to my mother. 😀
a mother would never understand the heroics that go into jousting, especially with ladders.
EXACTLY. so I simply told her that I was installing set pieces in the theater, and got whacked by a stray 2×4. That relieved her.
I still don’t think I have ever told her what ACTUALLY happened.
I stood on one of these in a book store today.
Apparently they’re not as sturdy as one would think. at the time I had no idea they had rollers under them.
They are a bit shifty … I flailed a couple of times trying to reach a book on knitting. Thankfully the aisles were narrow and the bookshelves were sturdy.
It must have been a migration. A flock of Library Thingies. You must have interrupted a mating–…eeeew
Now all I can picture is some random Animal Planet show with wildebeast grunting in a field, except they’re library thingies instead of wildebeast. D:
And now you got it into mine.
Why do I have the strangest felling i would have done or all ready have done it if I came across this situation. Hopefully minus the ambulance ride.
I approve of the chaos.
We had one of those when I worked at Gamestop, one day, a co-worker of mine (who is really…big…) hopped (no really, hopped) up on it to reach a game, and it completely shattered. I have never seen something explode so readily due entirely to gravity. I laughed all day.
Heeeeeeyyy, I did something like that… Except I was running along the top of monkey bars in the dark.
It is ALWAYS a damn good idea!
We’ve done this in the library I work at. It was fantastic. Makes me wonder how many patrons have attempted it while no one else is up on the top floor…
I feel the need to go to my local library now…
I work in a library. I love those things more than most members of my immediate family!
hahahhaha those library things are endless fun!!
lol Drawey he’s a classic
I named my one Wade Ignatious Wacom the 4th…
Lol, your journal comics never fail to make me smile. 😀 Thank you for that.
how is tabblet formed
how girl get purchase
B^U
Ninja skills fail!
You need to watch Crouching Tiger again.
Haha, that’s awesome! We have those at my work…but they’re not really stable or sturdy.
I go to libraries a lot, used to live there pretty much. I once entertained myself by running and jumping onto one to see how far it got before my weight made it go down and lock. It didn’t go far. I got all the way across the room and into a shelf I almost knocked over though. They just inspire stupid awesome things, those library thingies…
Oh man dude no! I work in a library and you don’t play hop the kick stools! The wheels only stop moving if you have equal pressure on the top but if even one wheel is not pushed down enough… well you know. XD But yes they are library kick stools and are made so we can kick them ahead of us when our arms are full of books!

lol, awesome! Btw, totally would have done that too. Or maybe tried barrel racing around them. But I most certainly could not have let such an opportunity for goofing off pass idly by. 😀
You get that ‘Yerdle the Turtle’ syndrome, start stacking things higher and higher, and then…you have no one to blame but yourself!
Well, I’ve done this. It didn’t hurt me, but I wish I could say the same about that old lady with the walker… Hey, don’t judge me! Walkers look like those stool thingys when you’ve got your shades on indoors… and haven’t slept in a week.
I used to work in a library. I’m not sure what those things are called either – I’ll just borrow your name and call them library thingies – but I would so do this… 😀
Yeahhhh I jumped on a chair at the school playground once when I was a kid.
I can imagine it having the same results. Only less awesome.
I so want to do this now.
Well, over a line of two chairs, to land-and-slide on the last one. It worked the first time….. So naturally I figured more chairs would equal more slide-y. Unfortunately, more chairs equaled a little bit of slide-y and a lot of fall-y.
library thingies! I always thought I was the only one to notice them but no, now everyone else know the magic of the library thingies!
