Well, shortly before 2010 I said that I will be making the jump to a 5 days a week daily strip (now granted I’m going to try my hardest for this). ’tis a funny thing, to go back through the strips and see how your drawing style has changed slightly from some strips to another, and suddenly it’s a HUGE jump. Tho I miss the ‘childish’ drawings that humoured me, the more ‘professional’ look is good, too. The colouring is just <3

heh, around August/September I wasn’t really happy with Nerf This (at least the way it was drawn). So i tried a lot of different methods until I settled on this, to which I really like drawing it now, and I want to really improve my writing too.
And to have the name “Scott” in webcomics is almost a curse haha, Scott Mcloud, Scott Dewitt, Scott Kurtz, and the list goes on (obviously I’m nowhere near the status of those guys though)
Oh, funny you mentioned Mr. DeWitt, I thought no one knew of Fanboys 😮 A shame his comic is sort of on a hiatus.
And when it comes to writing, if you have an idea on how you want your characters to develop and progress in ‘life’, you should make a novella/short story for your eyes only, as a script of sorts.
But don’t forget, I think more people than myself love random strips 😛
I will be doing random strips inbetween stories (the municorn was an example of this), I would love to have more characters too, I love drawing new people making their way into the lives of Monty & Chase haha 🙂
And it is a shame about Fanboys, I did like that comic, he had a unique style of humor too, I like the Johnny Turbo skit as an example haha, hope he comes back soon 🙂

Prolly not the right place for this, but I can’t find a forum – I can’t access your site from a bookmark since the site redesign. I hafta run a Google search, click on projectwonderful.com (to advertise on “Nerf This”) click on the thumbnail of the day’s comic, and then alt-< before I can actually see the website.
I don't mind jumpin' thru hoops if that's what it takes, jus' thought you sould know is all…

Was i on crack last night or did you change what the chick says in the last panel? I could of sworn it said something about the monopoly dude and megans list, but it no longer does. Maybe i should start going to bed earlier, my eyes might be playing tricks on me in revenge for late nights
that is a perk of reading Nerf This, its when I post, then I immediately second guess what I wrote, then I go back and change it as quickly as possible… so your eyes were not playing tricks on you, more or less its just me being a bit wonky 😉

IT’s kinda like when the beatles thought it was a good idea to put out an album cover in the mid 60s with them covered in raw meat and doll parts. Then after selling it for a day, they pasted a new cover over all of them. Doesn’t it make you feel like an insider when you get to see the raw meat nerf this?
seems like this has happened more than once too. in the panel that Hunter was introduced, what Taryn says changes, and Hunter later aquires the fantastic slogan ‘I love Moms’. Checking this site more than once a day seems to have it benefits, getting multiple jokes, but are these spontaneous changes going to continue?
A very keen eye, you are correct, I did redo that one as well (I knew I wanted to put something on his shirt, I plainly and dumbly forgot that time).
To answer your question, it will happen less frequently, I just want to provide the funniest thing to say at the end of a strip, and when a comic posts, its not uncommon where I will say “damn, I shouldn’t have posted yet, I just thought of something that would work better!”
Honestly, it may happen once in every 10 strips or so, but its getting less frequent. I hope nobody will get frustrated over it (this is the first time I may be addressing it as well)
i wouldn’t worry to much about it. i think its kind of a treat for those of us who obsessively check your website for new comics. its like “congrats, you have no life, so heres a little something fun to make you feel better about yourself. now you can be a snob to other people who read the comic, but dont check it every hour like you do.” i like it 😉
