Finally, without further delay, I present to you, the “real?” Motokool. THis is the story that I wanted to follow into originally, it was just taking forever to get there, and square pages was not the wisest choice.
I looked back at how I drew this comic a year ago, and… egads.
Oh, golly. I’m in love! 😀 The main character looks like Chase in his weird alternate reality painkiller dreams! So excited for this!
Maybe this is what Chase’s dreams are about. He dreams he is Jarvis…

Jo Posted on Well written. It’s hard to learn to shift from fear to cnniectong to one’s own power. I still dip my toe in the fear part too frequently. I’m smiling over turning the tables. My mother actually used to do that. She shared that trick with me when I was in college. lol I think it gave her the power she needed because she could never figure out any other way.

The bike lanes should never have been on Jarvis in the first place.Jarvis was the only road that moved well dunirg rush hour with the flex lane that moved traffic around left and right turns.The bike lanes have addedat least 20 minutes each way, to my commute 12 months a year.I pass 20 bikers max each way in the warm months and dunirg the coldmonths maybe 6 each way .That means you have about 4,000 peopleadding 133 hours to their commute a year for so few bikers. The bikers have got it wrong,City Council has to consider both sides of any issue and the numbers justdon\’t add up for the bikers. Use Sherbrooke or Church.

So, I just rerewad the archive, and I have to say, when Jarvis throws the mocking monster, it makes me think of the line from Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. “I kicked a guy so hard he saw the curvature of the earth.”

I liked the original bit. I hope that’s the character’s backstory, still. And I hope you’re still using that badass villain.
totaly not trying to be mean or anything, but i have a question.
All three of your comics have very distinctly different storylines, and the artwork fits them.
But your characters all seem to fall into the same traits: Total badass ginger, nofaced bad guy, protagonist is male, with sideburns.
If each of your stories are so different and unique, why doesn’t each have thier own different and unique characters?
Do not question the will of Artist!
They do not look EXACTLY the same. They all have completely different styles. It’s just they way Scott draws. Honestly, I’ve read some manga by the same artist, and the main characters generally look the same. They have the same face and/or hair and body type, but their clothes, their personalities, their way of speaking are all different. It’s just the artist.
I was noticing the same thing, and will have to agree unfortunately.
Unless the characters are all AU versions of each other, which would make for a very interesting angle, actually.
There is some reason to this madness, which will unfold, and some of it is that while I try new art styles, especially with the characters, I kind of go through “growing pains”. As I get more comfortable, things will hopefully flesh out a bit 🙁
I think it’s great. Looks great, sounds like there will be some adventuring, and Jarvis looks much more mature. But I, like others, am curious about his arm. I thought that Templeton cut it off?

well, i’m glad we got a new page. i have to say, i follow all of your comics, and while scout is still my favorite (there’s just something about epically magic tattoos that just does it for me), this one is quickly turning into a very fucking close second. i love the directon your drawing style has taken recently. it’s so damn’d….cool.
My god Scott, Since I’ve started reading these your art has always taken a turn for the better, but lately it’s jumped in leaps and bounds. I’m just absolutely amazed at how much you’ve improved and how COOL both your artwork and story lines are!
I gotta say… Jarvis looks pretty bad ass.
