Holy shit this comic is filled with awesome and questions and I love how the hipster looks in panel 3. I have a feeling things are going to pick up soon and we might get a full explanation of the premise. Or we might not. If Penny is dead for reals then there won’t be anyone to explain all this to liz when scout’s not feeling talkative.
Also “Possibly our protagonist and maybe the most unqualified to have such a title, Scout is in essence… average.” I think we can bury that notion now.
Finally I`m betting that if scott created the hipsters in a literal sense then it`s tied directly into his brothers` death.
I guess he’s not all he’s “cracked up” to be! Hahaha ha… heh… okay that was lame. I apologize. Every time I see one of those guys crack I remember my highschool otaku days reading Yu Gi Oh. And an irate pharoh yelling, “MIND CRUSH!” Ah… those were the days.
I love your art style. It’s so unique. And nice effects on the glowy-eyes and black smoke. I can never get that effect right when I draw. It just looks they’re crying Silly string
I love this comic so much. The art is amazing and the story keeps me coming back. This is the first time I’ve commented, but I’ve been following for a couple months. Thanks for doing two pages this week!
Seeing as Scout’s dealt with scene people who specialised in fashion and music, and being a ‘hipster’ was the lifestyle that borne the kings, I’m guessing we may be getting either an artist, car mechanic, intolerant environmentalist or a completely bigoted vegan chef as our next adversary. Oh, even though I’m a big fan of 90’s music (I grew up with it) I completely approve of smashing Boyd because provoking a polar bear like that is animal cruelty 🙂
