Okay, I must thank you for linking to the cover of that book. I had a discussion about it years ago with friends, forgot the name, tried to tell someone about it recently and couldn’t find it. Oh and the last panel is adorable.
Most excellent! Did you mention “weirder”? PLEASE DO!!!!! Your weird is fantastic amusement!!!!! 😉 Now, what would any overly sexual but extremely socially awkward female do if they were to find that they were now a male????? Reverse the situation, let’s say on me, and I know what would be done! HAHAHAHA
Shrug, parody counts as “fair use” in the U.S. If he’s not going to turn them into permanent characters or a long storyline, there’s no leg to stand on for a copyright claim.
Of course, in the U.S. getting dragged before court often ends up expensive even for clear-cut meritless cases, and the typical attorney will support his caste by recommending to sue regardless of merit: whoever loses in a case (and winning may still be a loss), it is not the lawyers.
For the bit we have here, there is a good chance that a copyright claim would be considered frivolous (namely not just meritless, but meritless in a manner the plaintiff and/or his lawyers must have been aware of). In that case, the judge may award its legal costs to the defendant. But that happens rarely.
That’s exactly what I was thinking! I know I have wrecked mine on more than one occasion, and it’s original equipment!!!!! HAHAHA I want that “Oh Snaps” illustration as a poster!
I’m somehow willing to bet when they return to relative normality, she gets brand new equipment to play with that she has to break in–Nergil had better provide some assistance.
Zoey/Calvin in the last panel is absolutely adorable, Wallpaper needed.
Oh hell… I need this on my wall.
That “Oh snaps.” was just to damn adorable! XD
Because it is glorious.
Damn it scott. Now I have to read all of Carlton Mellick III
Damn you for the book mention, I mean its a great representation of the Bizarro genre, it just made me cry. I mean hearty manly tears.

o_O Scott, are you trying to test US copyright laws or something?
Still, love Nergil’s last comment.

I get that same look whenever I look at mine too.
She is gonna wreck that penis like she did her vagina. Probably a lot worse actually now that I think about it.

Only if she gets to keep it for very long….
Does it say something about the webcomics I read that that sentence didn’t seem weird to write at all? Such is life.

I didn’t get that “suicide in a wagon” reference.. Someone can explain?
Calvin and Hobbes, they often go on death-defying rides off a cliff in their wagon. At least, I’m HOPING that’s all there is to the joke.
Ooohhh. I know about them, but never actually read any comics. I googled “Calvin and Hobbes wagon” and found a bunch of them.
I understand now. Thank you!
You read comics and you’ve never read Calvin and Hobbes.
Get out of my house.
Yyyeeeeaaahhhh… Calvin and Hobbes are not really popular or mainstream in Québec. Sorreh 🙁
Well tell Quebec to get out of my house, then! He’s a frigging mooch, anyway.
Okay, I’m out. This is borerline racist.
Sir, I’ll have you know this is ALL OF THE RACIST. Right here! Right now!
…I’m not even sure what’s going on in this conversation anymore.
No problem!
