Meet me in the middle of a forrest Its goin down! If you try to talk my grandson best believe its going down! (Mixing webcomics and hip-hop lyrics is so fun!)
I love the idea of a new series surrounding Gramps! It sounds awesome! 😀 Damn, he’s so cool. I bet it’d make a heck of a story. Also, I love Tempelton’s little doodle-tears. They reek of goregeous sarcasm.
I’m looking forward to seeing how a sword is supposed to do up against a tree….
Keep this up. Love your work here and over at Scout. Other people run their web comics as graphic novels, but It’s really nice to be able to see one forming from the beginning like this. Especially ones as unique as these are in both art style and concept. It almost makes me feel like, in a way, I’m a part of a discovery of something amazing. Between Nerf This, and now these two comics, I can’t imagine I won’t be looking out for anything you do in the future as well.
I couldn’t thank you enough for the kind words, each comic had a purpose for me, Motokool was so I could push myself to be a better artist, Scout was a chance to be awkwardly over the top, and Nerf is an attempt to write humor. If it wasn’t for these 3 comics, I couldn’t truly push myself. Haha, while these do take up a lot of time (and freelance as well), I am working on a 4th comic, once I have a substantial archive, I will post it, but after this, I don’t think I can squeeze out a 5th (if I did, I don’t think I would live to see my later 20’s)
Again, thank you Soujourner, it means a lot, and I’m happy to have you as a reader 🙂

A tree… he’s going to beat him to death with a tree.
Amazingly badass.
*gasps and gets giddy like a school girl on prom night*
these next few posts I’m working on are going to be really fun 🙂
Haha, it was either that or a big rock, but rocks are overrated 😉
no they be not…
I HAVE A PET ROCK SO FRIGGIN WHAT U GONNA SUE ME, TRY ME ILL SUE UR PET CONDOM!!
sorry what where we talking about
So I see this comic, and immediately begin to wonder two things:
Why is he wearing bracers? Did he come prepared, or are they a habitual part of his wardrobe?
And WHAT’S ON THAT LETTER?
He’s a slave for appearances, and everyone will see that letter soon enough 🙂
Cane-Sword!
the best type of Cane. Also the best type of Sword.
Is it bad that I love this villian so damn much?
*replaces the word villian with Rapscallion*
haha, only a fool WOULDN’T want to use their sword as a walking stick! (I also occasionally call people rapscallions!)
It’s goin down!
things are going to get a bit hairy, very soon.

while i shuddered at that, I pictured Grand-Dad with a doo-rag on 🙂
Oh dear lord! lmao
I call this being “optimistically dark” 😉
Ah sword-canes. Gentlemanly as fuck.
Have you thought about doing a side story about Gramps’ younger days?
when this chapter ends I will, I might release it as a mini comic that you donate for, or just a regular post series, what do you think?

haha thanks…
For a second there I had a major blonde moment, “How does he know my nickname?”
Ye… Smart…
haha, I didn’t see it as a blonde moment, it would have been far more awesome (or creepy) if I had actually guessed 🙂

HOLY CRAP. He’s crying ink.
That was awesome.
the dude made drawn tears slide down his letter-face.
I love that the face on the back of the letter changes to fit Templeton’s mood. Also Templeton is such a badass name. Props.
haha dammit, that’s exactly what i was going to say. i love how the eye changes with his moods xD
