But this does raise a serious question…. Will we ever get to see Chase’s father? Originally, I thought of him as the stereotypical ‘not there’ father, but I’ve seen bits and glimpses of how he has influenced Chase. If Mr. and Mrs. Mills make such an awesome daughter, how amazing must Chase’s father be to have a happy-go-lucky son that holds such power inside himself?

or it could be the complete opposite, chase’s father was so hateful and bad to chase that it caused chase to form split personalities as a defence mechanism. the happy go lucky obvious outer chase so he didn’t have to deal with all he’s taked about and the inner chase.

I had a theory after reading these past couple comics until I read the names of characters in Motokool. I’ll still state it…

I
believe that, if the worlds are connected, this is a prequel to
Motokool. this scene is going to cause several things to occur. Chase
may accidentally or intentionally kill Destiny due to her running Monty
through in his rage mode. In doing so, Chase may not be able to go back
to sunshine and smiles after this and becomes Motokool’s
Templeton. Their hairstyles are similar but until we see a whole face
it’s uncertain. This will send Mr. Mills into a similar rage state at
which point he’ll lodge a knife is Chase’s head. Now, in Motokool,
Kinnaird Gray looks a lot like Mr. Mills and he has a Grandson. This
grandson looks surprisingly similar to Chase. At one point, Chase in
this comic used a feint saying Taryn was pregnant at one point with Mr.
Mills as a joke, but it wasn’t actually a joke. he was seeing how he’d
take the news. Taryn gives birth to Jarvis and possibly dies from Chase
AKA Templeton. After a knife is in shoved into Templeton’s head, Mr.
Mills runs off carrying a young Jarvis in to the woods. They change
their names to hide from Chase who holds a grudge against Mr. Mills due
to him just being married to Destiny. He’s mad at the whole bloodline
sort of thing. Jarvis inherits his mom’s monster, Snarky who is later
renamed Iggy.

So, in Motokool, Mr. Mills and Chase
still fight as Templeton and Kinnaird dude to a blood feud. It’s
uncertain if Templeton knows Jarvis is his kid. And that’s my theory why
this is a prequel.

A few others in the comments speculated that Monty is the cause of Chase’s rage mode through monster magic, and similar theories. Honestly, I do not think so.
Chase is an idiot, and fairly carefree, but makes his friends happy(even if he gives them a few headaches). Those people who smile and always joke around, but can help in a situation, are the best friends you can have. I am one of these types of people too. I am not as…. Ridiculous as Chase, but I also live in a world without monsters or wizards.
People have pissed me off, and even those I am not mad at agree that it is one of the scariest things they have seen. I usually use words to yell and scream, but my “rage mode” had only been activated in a verbal fight. So far, Chase has had to physically defend his friends. Monty may have been the ‘key’ to rage mode so far, especially in flashbacks to the time when Monty was Chase’s only friend, but I feel that if Taryn was in a similar danger, it would activate rage mode too.
