Hello Destiny
Well, this marks the 1st appearance of Taryn’s mother, Destiny. Don’t be fooled by the banter of these two, they do love each other very much, and I think when I created these two, they really reminded me of these guys… for good reason 😉 (kudos if you recognize the characters in the link!)
Anyways, hope you like the may Destiny Mills looks, love the way she came out so far. Anyways, daily updates resume Monday, see ya then 🙂

Been awhile since I’ve seen anyone reference Bone. Gotta say it tickled me in my love of all things morbidly silly.

Great design! She’s similar enough to Taryn to be believable but unique in her own way! The turtle neck in panel four bugs me though, it looks like her necks green. I always feel bad when i complain, love your work and the comic Scott!

Okay since no one has said I’m just going to have to say it: what happened to Tayrn’s monster? There was Monty and than that little orange monster missing one eye.
I asked Scott that recently and he said Snarky was still around, just in the background. I miss Snarky. 🙁 Hopefully we’ll see the little guy again soon!!!!!

Love the way she looks! I can also see the improvements in Mr. Mills. His face is more stern(if that’s possible). Can’t wait to see how Monty and Mr. Mills interact!

I saw that and was tempted to pick it, just didn’t know if I’d be interested in it still. I think I read the first 3-5 books. Know how many there is total?
To this day it’s one of my favorite comics, and I think it may very well be one of the most successful indie comics today. I liked it so much I bought my younger brother the whole series. Also read “I kill Giants”, another gorgeous comic.
you know, you comic has some very Bone-esque moments.
It very well might, I grew up reading Spider-Man and X-Men, but Bone was the comic that made me think, “I wanna draw comics”.
Just out of curiosity, did you also read Cerebus the Aardvark? He and Wolverine are my mom’s two favorite comic book characters of all time (although Bone was pretty high up there too).

So wait… Taryn’s mother is actually around? Where was she in all the insanity surrounding her daughter for the past forever? Mr. Mills at least showed up for her near-death experiences. Also, didn’t Taryn have a monster at one point? Feel like Mr. Mills would have already had to babysit several times by now.
Complainface aside, i’m really enjoying the new art. It oozes personality, in all the right ways.

Love it! My only two complaints would be that Mr. Mills’ jaw looks a bit awkward in the second panel (I think he looks best in the first one), and I’m not keen on the neck on Destiny’s shirt. I think everything else is awesome, though. Keep up the good work!

You know, while Mr. Mills being married to the personification of Destiny is beyond mortal comprehension, there’s still something bugging the hell out of me, and rightly so.
When do the other, minor villains come back? Like Wren and Hunter?

Ah, I love Bone! I finally bought the whole full-colored omnibus adventure last year. I managed to read through the story as my career ended, so it has a special place in my heart.
Even if that ending broke my heart.
