Nerf This

Nah mate that’s a load of shit and you know it. Yeah he doesn’t have to give us anything and currently he isn’t. it’s exactly as the person above says when you set a date either stick to it or don’t set a date as people hold you to that. I’m not the only one here who is getting frustrated that he continually says “New comic on this date” and then that day arrives and no comic no word from Scott. I don’t expect regular updates all I expect is that when he sets a date for something he sticks to it. If he said he will get one up on Monday I expect him to put a comic up on Monday or at least give us a post explaining that it’s not coming that is our right as his loyal readers and fans. If he said he will get one up when he has the chance, fine I won’t complain I’ll just sit back and let him take his time since he hasn’t set a date. All it shows by setting dates and not sticking to them is that he doesn’t respect us at all.

I think you hit home on where we’re running into disagreements, Scott doesn’t have to set dates for us. If he just said “Hey guys I’m back I’ll try to update whenever I get the chance” that would be fine. It’s when he sets a date it gives fans something to look forward to and it’s a disappointing when he doesn’t follow through. But still that’s fine, everyone misses a day or two every once in a while. Especially with all of the things he’s dealing with, but then when he can’t even make a post saying “Hey guys won’t be able to get an update up today.” That seems like such a 30 second fix instead it seems like he doesn’t care about the readers who are sitting at their computers waiting for updates.

That’s probably the case. And I feel like I should clarify, I’m not going to stop reading because of this, nor do I think less of Scott. This is just a place to vent some about being disappointed with other people who are his fans and can understand where you’re coming from. No matter what happens I’ll still be back on this site pretty much every day checking to see if there are any updates.

Yes, I’m going to be the guy that repeats the tried and true statement.

“He didn’t say ‘which’ Monday.”

If you’re otherwise lousing about in your downtime between his updates, find other things that you find entertaining, because waiting for days to weeks for one more strip is kind of counterproductive, seeing as you’ve hit borderline for obsession and any and all future feedback will become biased. He’s taken his time before, and for the moment, he will continue to take his time. This is nothing new, or at least, it shouldn’t be at this point.

Main Point being, “chill out and find something to keep your attentions while you wait.”

I think you’re missing the point. Dude here isn’t upset that Scott is busy, he’s upset that a date wa given and was failed to be met. He knows Scott doesn’t HAVE to do anything, and it’s not like he’s pounding his fist on the table demanding entertainment. He’s just disappointed that he got his hopes up, and Scott didn’t come through — Regardless of why, he can’t control that he was disappointed and I even agree with his stance. It’s much less disappointing to be given a date, than to just have nothing at all.

Just going to let you guys know for a fact he does not respect his fans. Also a warning… you will not necessarilly receive the merch you buy through this guy. He’ll take your money no problem but it’s been over a year and I still haven’t gotten the stuff I ordered. That’s my problem and why I won’t be reading the comic anymore. It wasn’t a huge amount of money but still, bad business!!
