Excited… FOR MURDER
So I have to share this, I had a visitor in my room tonight, I named him “Trying to Kill Scott”, a fitting name.  Luckily my towel (which was adorned with sharks!) was able to subdue him long enough to let him outside 🙂
He was less than pleased with me.
You might see a normal bat, but at the time of my distress, this is what I saw.
Kudos on the snazzy shirt too 😉
And I’m sure that bat was as scared of you as you were of it. Make sure you get checked for the rabies…heh
that’s my “do art and get really dirty” shirt 🙂 I grew up in the very wooded parts of PA so bats are something I’m used to (little buggers sneak in through anything these days).
Aw man, rabies are the worst!
The virus is transfered through saliva, and once the symptoms begin to show…it’s too late to be helped.
Imagine if one permiscuous hussy somehow acquired rabies without knowing…then made out with a good number of people before symptoms had a chance to show…then they inturn made out with other people… by the time the hussy realized she had contracted rabies it would be far, far too late.
It’s like a more realistic version of a zombie apocalypse.
the word hussy=awesome
and it would almost make the perfect plot to a B-Horror movie 🙂
AWWW!! He’s so cute!
What’s the tattoo on your arm there?
He was cute, and now he’s happy outside ending the lives of bugs everywhere 🙂
I have a tattoo on my right arm of something my oldest brother drew a long time ago, and on my left, it’s a half finished sleeve of feathers haha (just scribble basically)
ah, I was curious about the right arm there.
how is it that you look ripped as hell in some pictures and freaking scrawny in others? you’re a freaking anatomical paradox.
I’m not “ripped” by any means, I’m just ten million more times active in the summer, I seriously lost 15lbs since winter (only having coffee in a day does wonders for your figure)
bullshit.
you’re a latent shape-shifter.
Dammit Joe!
…you’ve found me out 😉
Gasp! A nicely built man and his pet bat broke into your house?! And you subdued them with only a shark towel?!
I must say that I am impressed.
hahaha, I assure you it’s all smoke and mirrors, that “man” can barely lift a tissue 🙂
BUT, if I was able to tame that bat, I would have him perch on my shoulder, this would only be done if I would have a complimentary crow on the other shoulder (to balance things out, so I can have the bat guard me during the night AND have the crow guard me during the day)
I would be truly jealous if you tamed that bat….and if you ever DO manage to tame a bat, you should probably go with a raven instead of a crow. They are the foxes of the skies.
you are awesome for coining that phrase, and i’m going to force everyone around to say that about ravens from now on, forever. So thank you 😀
Thank you, Sir, for spreading my infamy. ;D
No no, it’s my pleasure, so thank you 🙂
I suppose its more fun watching a snake gobble up your latest kill rather then Mr. Shadow-Man kill off your adopted parents.
Bring on the Skeees! <3
Howard has a way with words AND dislocating his jaw to eat, I don’t know what else a girl would really want.
D’aww! It looks so CUDDLY!!!
His ravenous clicking noises won me over.
Well, that’s certainly what I do when I’m ravenous.
Anyone would, really. I’m the similar way when I see a cookie.
COOKIE *click* *click* *click* *click* *click* *click* *click*
SEXY! ;D *click*click*click*click*
haha, a strong statement.
Actually that’s still rather a big bat compared to the average little brown bat we have around here in the woods of Central PA. Where in PA did you come from? Just curious.
I’m from the Kutztown area (between Reading and Allentown), we have two kinds, and this is the slightly larger one, I’ve seen little brown bats get into my place, but this is the first time I’ve seen one this big make a visit.
Kutztown?! I’d say get your self out of there before the town engulfs your living soul, only making the “everything between Pittsburgh and Philly is Alabama” true. But I’m from Berwick and I dare say we have had bats extremely close to that caliber. Unfortunate though, they’re quite the awesome creatures!
lol grey, the ppl around us drive jacked up trucks with stacks and confederate flags, its too late for us….
You poor soul.
Scott, I may have to visit you sometime then…
Central PA is pretty wooded, the same with Nothern PA, like the town Centrailia, which is what the game Silent Hill was based on. Which is less than an hour away form me 🙂
See, now I just don’t subscribe to the “Pennsyltucky” theory. Course that may just be Bias from living right in State College, but this town just flat out rocks. We’ve got like, an entire two streets lined with almost nothing but bars. Gotta appreciate a town so dedicated to partying that we have two St. Patrick’s Days just because one of them usually falls during spring break. Students gotta party too, amiright?
Where I live, we call that Pennsyltucky
Oh, someone already said that… Crap…
Ah its good to see that neither you nor the little guy were hurt in any way!
I’m a sucker for wildlife, even if the thing was trying to make a snack out of my finger, I still probably couldn’t hurt him/her.
Gaah! The horror D:
… Wow. You’re quite the hotsy totsy, for a webcomic artist… Oh, and the bat… the bat is cute, too. Eh, heh…
I was wondering if Howard was going to die… Since he hasn’t, I shall keep reading.
Heh, I assure you I am not, in any way, easy on the eyes 🙂
And the bat was adorable, and no, I couldn’t let Howard (or Mabel) die in any fashion, those two were made for each other 😉
I heard you are sexy with a weedwacker in hand is that true?
eww bats… I freak out when they’re around my house in the summer (coz of my fruit trees) but if it actually came into my house I would probably shit myself
ps last 2 panels are awesome lol
IF you have Fruit Bats, those things are much larger, I would be a bit squeamish about that. I’m happy tha tyou like those last panels, I’m starting to really enjoy drawing Monty’s old owner.
Actually panel no. 2 in which it dawns on him that he is falling is the one that cracks me up the most. I just love the sudden surprised and blank look on his face.
Now if only you could catch a robin..meh, to early for that one. The last pan would make a wonderful t-shirt.
and a penguin, too soon? 😉
Yo, just thinking cause i saw it on some d-bag republican website, but you should set up like a link so that ppl can donate money to you or something. I understand you don’t get paid much from talking to you, but if you had a link on here like politicians do maybe the extra money ppl donate would let you draw more. All it is is like a premade form which lets ppl donate like a dollar or something, but the nice part is if you get enough viewers who love your comic to donate you wouldn’t have to spend time working elsewhere, just a thought sir.
http://www.103rockfm.com/
here is what i mean
see right side of page at donate btw
I do plan on making some kind of package eventually, perhaps a mini-comic (10 of them, among wallpapers and other things) that people can donate 50 cents for down the road 🙂
Eeeee! Bats are SO awesome! I’m glad that you were able to get the little guy out safely… http://www.batcon.org for more batty goodness.
Oh, and I’m absolutely adoring Howard and Mabel. Any plans for a print of a family portrait? I think it would sell like hotcakes!
That site is nifty, the bat plushies are adorable haha
I do plan on making a family portrait when this chapter is done, which will be very soon 🙂
Just admit it Scott, you’re an escaped government experiment who gains super strength in times of high stress/fear. Comon you’re among friends =] (and the award for your capture is only half-decent)
Hey look Scott! You caught your first pokemon! a Zubat! =D
And now must begin your quest to travel the lands with a bunch of teens winnings the hearts and minds of millions.
i think it may just be that these pics are overly manly and are thus leading your viewers to believe that you are an attractive manly man.
scruff, t-shirt, tattoos, wild animal… there’s definitely some quality rugged manly-ness right there.
Nice tats! (… and arms :D)
I’ve never actually seen a live bat outside of the zoo (I live in places with snakes, no bats, sad face). Trying To Kill Scott is pretty awesome.
Are… Are those koala-skin gloves?
