Snarky’s faces just seem to do whatever the hell they want. I agree with Fenris though, it was surely to illustrate him looking at Tony and Steph in turn.

@ FwooshFiend I think it’s cause after he drew and colored it, he C+P’ed the first frame but flipped it horizontally, making it look like he was looking at the other person. That made the skulls switch spots. ‘Probably forgot to circle them with the lasso tool and readjust them before flattening the layers and continuing with the other characters as a ‘foreground layer’. 🙂

Regardless of the many fallacies your theory brings up, his skulls switch sides not only from 1 to 2, but also panels 3 to 4, meaning this was intentional.
I would go in to detail as to why you are wrong about the copy/paste, but the reasons should be painfully obvious if you spend more than two seconds looking at the images.
The guy you responded to was very nice about presenting his theory to you to explain something. Not sure why you had to be such a huge dick in response to it.
First, they pointed their theory out to someone else. I simply told them why they were wrong.
Second, being blunt and honest does not equal being a dick. I say what I think and I don’t sugar coat it to protect people’s delicate feelings.

hey scott since i was wondering if you have had the chance to look into patreon. as a comic creator it might be a good way for your fans to support the comic i know that although my individual contribution is small i would love to support your comic and the time you put into it and I’m willing to bet I’m not the only fan that would support you as well.
I’d be for this if the comic was guaranteed to update on a regular basis. Paying money for a comic when the creator disappears for a few months at a time doesn’t sound too appealing.
Odd. I’ve just noticed that Snarky, after being ball-punched, has grown an extra horn. In “Out of the Race”( http://nerf-this.com/comic/out-of-the-race/ ) you can clearly see that Snarky has one. In his next appearance where you can see both sides of his head, Masterly Disguised ( http://nerf-this.com/comic/masterly-disguised/ ), Snarky has two. This two horned look continues on, meaning that it was either intentional or Scott really needs to figure out what he’s doing with Snarky’s look. On that note, Iggy from Motokool only has one horn, and a waaaaaaay different personality, leading me to believe that these monsters are not the same, however similar. Maybe Iggy is closely related to Snarky. Meh, my mind tends to wander. REGARDLESS: Scott, make character design changes subtle, or give a vague reason. Otherwise, I love your work. Keep it up, you magnanimous master of monsters. And masturbation. And another thing with “M” being the beginning word. And now this is getting too long… GAH, just don’t stop making comics, sir!

Looking left and right was executed perfectly in panels 1 and 2 without ‘the switch’. And it’s the same again in panel 4.
Maybe it’s just just an art error? It happens.

the benefit is that with patreon you can set it to only give per comic or content created and you can cap that to a maximum per month
