Chase is a 20-something, 100-odd pound squishy human type, Nergil is an immortal, 100-odd foot long entity with supernatural powers… and HE’S the one saying “OH CRAP!”?

I can’t wait to see how this arc ends, but by the same token, I really don’t want the awesomeness to stop.

I don’t know how Chase got up in the air, almost completely upside down and behind Nergil; however, I am excited to see exactly what happens next. It also surprises me that most of Chase’s wounds seem to be those of minor injury except for his left shoulder which was pierced by the piece of wood.

Also, he started in front of him, and as he lunged Nergil has turned and started to tail it. Or, in a fun sort of thing, running to snake up the comic pannel. I’m also very excited to see how this pans out.

Finally caught up with this comic! Found it a couple weeks ago (started from archives and thought I pressed a dummy link considering the style of the first couple of comics :p) and I must say it is absolutely the best webcomic I have seen thus far! Art is outstanding considering the frequency of updates (not to mention Motokool and Scout Crossing), and the story is just as outstanding!

Hahaaa…oh, Chase, I love you. I think a big part of why Nergil is so unnerved by Chase right now is because he’s used to Chase being a terrified, shrinking “coward.” The fact that Chase is currently completely unfazed – as in, not even the slightest bit nonplussed – by something that would normally have sent him gibbering and begging for mercy really has Nergil completely floored – Nergil’s afraid because he has no idea what to expect. He’s not the one in complete control anymore, holding all the cards, and I think that’s what really scares him. He’s used to making people wet their pants over his invincibility (especially now), and the fact that Chase currently couldn’t care less about it and is still determined to kick his ass has really thrown Nergil for a loop, I think.

I heard a tale about how some British bloke was supposed to take this hill from the japs in ww2 or something. It was his handful of men vs a squad of japs with swords and guns. After having had his arm hacked off, he literally went nuts and killed the guy who hacked off his one arm, picked up his sword and managed to kill twenty other men. The only reason he stopped killing them was because he ran out of blood. Imagine that.

I can somehow see chase here doing the same thing.

Hmm, maybe Nergil realizes that the curse is going to get lifted soon, he might even be feeling his power leave him? Not a good time for him to become a normal person again (and I’d question whether or not he’ll just shrivel up and die when he does). I suspect that even though he’s still trying to lift the curse, he hasn’t been thinking recently of what he’d be giving up.

Tony standing there his eyes have bulged out of his hair and says “HOLY SHIT!”

Taryn walks up to Chase, who is standing there smugly, looks up at him and slaps him which cause to fall down.

Chase gets up and kisses Taryn and asks her to marry him.
