So, today Nerf This is officially two years old, and I wanted to thank all of you for reading. I can’t imagine where this comic would be (or look like) without everyone’s support. So, in a dapper fashion, thank you, and I hope I can make this place even better in the next two years (or two weeks)

It’s been great to see how much your art and storytelling has improved since Nerf This was started. Congrats dude!

I like that there are two hats. Also, my grandmother got me a koala hat the other day. I’m not really sure why, but that is irrelevant. Anyways, it reminded me of when Chase used to get in fights to the death with koala assassin’s and fashion them into clothing.

I dunno if i am the only one who does this, but my “best/favorite” comics are kept in my quick tab thingies via firefox. The ones that are always there, looking at me. Scott, all 3 of yours are there, neatly assembled next to my email. I read other comics with multiple sites, your work is the only one to get all 3 there, so i can neatly and happily gaze at them constantly ^_^

Keep up the good work man, sorry for being a non-talking person before now. I am wholly inspired by what you do, sometimes in my daily life, sometimes in working on my own stories etc. Thanks for all your hard work and Congratulations on making it this far!

Happy second anniversary. Congratulations on the work you’ve done and the progress you’ve made. I love your endearingly awkward characters. Also, does the cat have a fancy mouse wife that he comes home to, whom he bullies terrifies with his savage drinking and cursing because he is so frustrated with his job? Does he woefully stare at his empty glass, contemplating the sweet, liberating kiss from the barrel of the vintage colt revolver he keeps in the top left drawer of the antique colonial cherrywood desk of his office, but then change his mind when he sees the sweet face of his mouse wife peeking into the office, dried tears marking her delicate mousey face, and says, lightly resting her tiny paw against the wood paneled walls, “Purrsival? Will you be coming to bed soon? I love you, Purrsy.” Because that would be sad.

Two years! Geez, that’s incredible. The comic I ran went about that long, but it wasn’t anywhere near as fantastic as this.

Also, for whatever unusual reason, I feel like the sentiments given to Purrsival apply to anyone who makes comics. Can’t quit until you’re dead! Keep it up, man. See you at the three year mark.

  Well, they’re not legally married, but they have been living together since Eleanor’s first husband, Rufus Burroughs, died in the war. Now a widow, Eleanor began to once more use her maiden name, Eleanor Burrows, a small symbol of her freedom her oppressive late husband. Purrsival and Eleanor do however, hope to formalize their union when, and if, the laws of of interspecies marriage change. Although, they must accept that they can never have children…result of a botched penis enlargment surgery.

I haven’t been on for very long. (August 17, ’10) But I was pretty much hooked when I went back and started reading from the beginning. It has been a joy watching your style develop and improve and watch your characters grow. I applaud you and all of your hard work over a surprisingly short two years. Congrats and may your own uniquely dapper flavor of EPIC last for many years to come.
