    Where does everyone get this idea that Monty ate the kid? The comic clearly shows that he pops full size above the kid and then squishes him with a phlomp sound effect. Monty never ate the kid.

  No, he didn’t eat the kid and this is not Monty puking. The reason Nergil is cracking jokes about unwanted pregnancy is because Monty just came in buckets all over Zoey.
  
  Jokes aside, Monty is really old yet has never grown. I think what has happened is that due to the injury a spell or some other effect that kept Monty’s growth in check was undone. All of the growth he was supposed to have had happened all at once, including the worst case of blue balls in history. He was literally like a beach ball held underwater in terms of aging and growth, and became a juvenile all at once. That’s my take.
