Chapter: Comic

Sorry I’ve been pretty quiet in the comments section lately, I’ve had some crazy deadlines this week, but luckily I’m getting 10 different kinds of caught up

This is a long time coming, so I may as well share this with you (and see what you think) here are the concept pages for my 4th comic (the first 3 anyway)

I’m still squirreling away on this 4th comic, I had a couple of set backs, one being scrapping the first 10 pages because, well… my art style was changing faster than the pages I was putting out, which inconsistency is almost like bff’s with me at this point.

But again, thought you guys might want to see this, and next week will be a lot fun for Nerf This, not this much fun, but fun nonetheless ;)

Dude, coffee is the ultimate beverage and I’ll not hear talk of it being spilled. Else I light have to pull out the good ol’ dueling gloves and flash a bit of ankle in order to distract my opponent.

Personally i love the style of this comic, and am completely jealous of the dapper mans outfit. if i had the cash i would totally buy a perscription monocole to wear with pride.

  Hell, if I had the cash, I’d have a museum of dinosaur skeletons dressed up in dapper finery with monocles… the would probably appear rather creepy to have company over though.

I was like “Squeee!” This is awesome. Girl is adorable and dapper adventurer looks like the epitome of class. Also he has a skull for a head. Not sure what that says about him.

  yea i notice the attempt from the nefarious undapper fellow attacking your site, wat happened to me is instead of going straight to your site it opened up a “security” analysis page, fake as it may be, it tried to say that my pc was riddled with viruses when i know for a fact that that so called security program was malware itself, with a keylogger to boot

    Thanks for the kind words AND I’ve attempted to do a restore on my sites, Joenis and I will be ripping all my sites down today and will reupload everything manually, this is the only surefire way to get rid of this malarkey

      its sad that this is happening anyway, this is the first time ive had it happen to me, nothing will stop me from reading your comics, and Joenis’s comics either, your guys comics are great works of art and proven by todays strip they just keep getting better, your art style might change a little bit, but there damn good, I especially love the artwork for Scout Crossing, i wish i had the kind of artistic talent that you and Joenis have (not trying to sound like a kiss ass)

Hullo, Scott! This comment is long overdue! (Mostly because I’ve been lackadaisical in getting around to procuring one of these fancy ‘Gravatar’ whatchamadiddles)
First off, I would just like to say that your art style is fantastic. It’s unique, and eye-catching. I love it! And in the event your art was horrendous (Good thing it’s not!), your stories and concepts would carry any and all of your comics!
Secondly, because of you, I’ve developed an unhealthy obsession with cardigans, and speaking in Olde Englishe, so thank you. Thank you for turning me into quite the Brit ;D
Thirdly, (And most creepily, I must say), I think it’s quite awesome of you to respond to the comments that people post. I read quite a bit of webcomics, and you’re the only one who actually replies! So thank you, and know that I’ll be purchasing some of your merchandise in the near future!

So after re-reading this after checking to see if there was an update or a new message..

I noticed a small flaw in the actual drawing, not a large one but.. I believe that wall is a ninja. In the background, behind the girl, before she speaks the wall is far away and, more importantly, behind the tree beside her.. but when she speaks.. it moves! Not only is it closer that she is practically against it..but it’s now beside the tree!

Darn Ninja walls.. Or maybe it’s a dapper-wall with a monocle and a single black brick for an eye? That would be rather silly, but I’m sure you could probably turn it into something amazing.

I absolutely love that you are going to have a female lead in a comic. I understand the dapper fellow would probably take a huge portion of the screen, but so far, seems like she will too.

Not that female leads are necessarily required, just so much that can be done with it and with your story telling and style, I am thrilled for the future.
