Welp, here he is, and while this look isn’t solid, hopefully it’s a step in the right direction for how I want him to look (still undecided about eye patch and mustache Now it’s time for the ____! (for those who haven’t seen this video, you might like it).

  Many pirates used them for keeping one eye adjusted for the dark, not because they lost an eye.
  I mean, if you were a pirate, a lost eye would look fearsome, so covering it would be pointless.
  That said, he may actually have had a reason for the patch.

Personally I would keep the eye-patch, we have always seen him with it. Well when he wasn’t a monster. That’s just me though. I am certain what ever you choose will be wonderful, after so long of loving your work I have a lot of faith in your creative decisions.

The mustache… It stays. It MUST stay. And I’m guessing he wore the eyepatch previously for a reasons. Unless being evil shadow guy for nearly a dozen decades has improved his vision, I suggest he keep the eyepatch, too… I don’t think he’d become too much of a caricature.

I’d vote for the eyepatch and and moustache to stay.

I’d hate to be a put downer on such a momentous occasion, but your comic characters tend to look a lot a like. The patch and moustache help him stand out, and give more flavor to the character. It will be worth drawing them every time.

I think he should keep his mustache and eye patch, they make him look as dapper as F*ck. And as long as we are talking about Nergil’s appearance I might as well add that I personally think he’d look better with slightly darker hair…maybe a light streak of gray somewhere?

So much for the inverted speech bubbles… nevertheless, Nergil is absolutely adorable. The mustache MUST stay, but the eyepatch can do whatever it desires. I really hope he doesn’t get himself killed in some vile and/or excruciating manner now that he’s human again…
