Some Store Stuffs

Time to blow off some dust on this blog section…
So I’m really happy with the prints, you guys seem to really like them, so I want to make sure you get the best bang out of your buck (did I even say that right? Makes me sound like a hussy).

Either way, this also applied to people who purchased prints last week, if you buy a print, I will throw in two original inked strips, for free! I’m doing this because I add the lettering digitally, so I don’t want to sell the strips by themselves, the result of this looks like an atlas of inked strips sitting in my studio… they need a home :(   So again, if you purchase any prints from the store, you’ll get some original artwork by me. I am also lowering the price of all the tees to $10.00 since I only have a few left, and do not plan on getting reorders of them, so once they’re gone, that’s it for the design until I get new tees uploaded. This year I will be attending conventions, so within the next week, I’ll be getting a schedule together of the ones I’ll be at (mostly east coast stuff).

Thank you all for your constant support, I wouldn’t have made it this far if it wasn’t for you guys!

I have a few things to announce, I want to thank everyone who has supported Nerf This because I’m down to just a few shirts! So thank you! (I’m buying quality coffee now!). So I need to get on the ball and think of new things to throw in the Nerf This store. One new addition is that there is a print (my very 1st print)

I also have lowered the prices of the tees in the store, soon I will be including a pre-order for plushies as well :)

Nerf This is 365 day old!

Today is a fairly special day for Nerf This… its been exactly one year since I launched the site and the comic. As you can see, if you go back in the archives that a lot has really changed visually, and writing wise. I’m not sure if I’ve learned a lot since I started doing Nerf This, but I’ve grown more respect for the people who read it, this webcomic is here because of everyone who reads and supports it, and I want to thank all of you for that. I’m really looking forward to the next year, where Monty, Chase, and the others will end up. Again, thank you for reading Nerf This, and I sincerely hope that the next year will be just as fun as the last. (I also promise to get these Monty plush dolls made too!)
Thanks everyone!

I am happy to report I will be making a little trip to New Jersey this weekend to Wild Pig Comics to see a little bit of the excitement going on. There is a signing that includes Danielle Corsetto from Girls with Slingshots and Erica Hesse, I’m sure a few small other tidbits, Hopefully at the rate this comic has been growing in the past 6 months alone I’ll be able to join the con circuit myself, in fact I’m already looking at booth prices (which is crazy to hear myself say out loud). I’ll be including an appearance schedule in the upcoming weeks as to where I’ll be making my adventures. I will be including a new arc shortly, and then I’ll be gradually going into the stories of all the Nerf This cast.

I did get an email from a few people regarding this question, and I may as well address it (this question is asked by many personal friends as well haha), but a few people asked if Taryn is based on an actual person. Well, to answer this question… yes, she is, but not in the way you think, she does physically look like someone that I know, but the personalities are a bit different, and over the course of a few months Taryn turned into her own person. I really had no intention of this but I really wanted to have a female character in Chase’s life… one with short hair (since Steph filled the “girl with long hair” slot). I’m a bit surprised though, to somehow see how my characters grow, you would think this is something that I would have complete control over since I illustrate and write the little buggers, but to the contrary, I find myself having very little control over the scenario.

I also want to thank all of my readers for putting up with my horrid drawing & writing skills haha, I’m happy to see that there is some improvement (I hope) since I started Nerf This 6 months ago, but I hope things can only get better. I’ll see everyone on Wednesday!
