He can't be as ridiculous and lovable with harsh black eyes. It's a little too Heathcliffe from the Wuthering Heights. As far as I know in literature they always give the "bad guy" or at least "unlikeable" guy dark eyes and sharp features. Chase is too naive and sweet for that. I know he's not really naive, but I just like to think of him as being innocent and in need of backup. Like why won't they just let him wear his cardigan and be happy?
